US Africa Network proudly presents:
Perseverance in Life and Art: African Voices on Ebola |
March 2015
Since the height of the Ebola epidemic in September 2014, West African health workers and communities have successfully fought back against the Ebola epidemic, reinforced by a late but unprecedented international mobilization. But Ebola is not yet gone. Its effects have left health systems and societies devastated in the three most affected countries: Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea.
This ongoing exhibition, hosted by US-Africa Network in collaboration with participating artists, highlights artists from countries affected by the Ebola epidemic, and will be collecting works from additional artists until January 2016. The work of these artists, who participated in the response to Ebola, reflect both the impact of the disease and the fact that life continued and continues throughout these trying times. Each artist will also be featured on https://www.facebook.com/USAfricaNetwork.org. To submit suggestions for additional artists to be included, contact the curator Nina Lawrin through the contact page.
